Reason: Normalized sexual transgression, rejected their prophet, and tried to assault the angelic guests; their cities were overturned
Story — English
The people of Sodom and Gomorrah who had normalized homosexual acts as a public practice (going beyond this to robbery and other transgressions). They rejected Lut’s call. When the angels came as guests, the people rushed to Lut’s house demanding access to them. The cities were destroyed — turned upside down with stones of hardened clay raining down on them (11:82-83). Their destruction is referenced extensively throughout the Quran as a warning.

سدوم اور عمورہ کے لوگ جنہوں نے بدکاری کو عام کر لیا تھا۔ لوط کے مہمانوں سے بدکاری کا ارادہ کیا۔ شہر الٹے گئے، پکی مٹی کے پتھروں کی بارش ہوئی (11:82)۔
