Ash-Shahid is the ultimate witness present at all events with perfect and complete awareness. His testimony on the Day of Judgment will be the decisive, irrefutable account. ‘Allah bears witness that there is no deity except Him’ (3:18) — His self-testimony is the highest testimony possible.
