وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰ

یاد کرو وہ وقت جبکہ ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا تھا کہ آدمؑ کو سجدہ کرو وہ سب تو سجدہ کر گئے، مگر ایک ابلیس تھا کہ انکار کر بیٹھا

And [mention] when We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam,” and they prostrated, except Iblees; he refused

اب یہاں قصہ آدم و ابلیس پانچویں مرتبہ بیان ہونے جا رہا ہے۔ اس سے پہلے سورة البقرۃ رکوع : 4 ‘ سورة الاعراف رکوع : 2 ‘ سورة بنی اسرائیل رکوع : 7 اور سورة الحجر رکوع : 3 میں اس کا ذکر ہوچکا ہے۔
