Story — English
A man from Bani Israel who was given such enormous wealth that the keys to his treasures required a group of strong men to carry. He paraded before his people in his finery, causing some to wish they had what he had. The righteous advised him to seek the next world and not forget his share in this one, and to do good as Allah had done good to him. He replied: ‘I have been given this because of knowledge I have.’ He was swallowed into the earth along with his treasures. Those who had envied him said, ‘It is Allah who extends provision to whom He wills… had Allah not favored us, He would have caused it to swallow us too.‘

بنی اسرائیل میں سے ایک شخص جسے اتنی دولت دی گئی کہ خزانوں کی چابیاں اٹھانے کے لیے قوی آدمیوں کی جماعت چاہیے تھی۔ کہا: ‘یہ میرے اپنے علم کی وجہ سے ملا ہے’۔ زمین میں دھنس گیا اپنے خزانوں سمیت (28:81)۔
