Ismail (Ishmael) — إِسْمَاعِيل

Reason: Submitted to the command of sacrifice without hesitation; praised as truthful and a prophet (19:54)
Story — English
Son of Ibrahim and Hajar, left as an infant in the barren valley of Makkah. The Zamzam well appeared for him. When old enough, Ibrahim told him of the dream command to sacrifice him. Ismail’s response was immediate and complete submission: ‘Do what you are commanded; you will find me, if Allah wills, of the patient’ (37:102). He laid himself down. Allah ransomed him with a great sacrifice. Later he helped his father build the Kaaba. He is the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
کہانی — اردو
ابراہیم اور ہاجرہ کے بیٹے، مکہ کی بے آب و گیاہ وادی میں چھوڑے گئے۔ ذبح کے خواب کا سنا تو فوراً راضی ہو گئے: ‘جو حکم ہے کریں، مجھے صبر والوں میں پائیں گے’ (37:102)۔ اللہ نے دنبہ بھیجا۔ کعبہ کی تعمیر میں باپ کے ساتھ ہاتھ بٹایا۔
