Reason: Idol-maker who rejected his own son’s sincere call to tawheed; died on shirk (9:114)
Story — English
The father (or uncle by some interpretations) of Ibrahim who carved and worshipped idols. Ibrahim called him with extraordinary gentleness — ‘O dear father’ (ya abati) — multiple times. He refused repeatedly and finally threatened to stone Ibrahim and told him to leave. Ibrahim left, promising to seek forgiveness for him. Later, when Ibrahim discovered his father had died on shirk, he disassociated from him as Allah commanded (9:114). A profound lesson in da’wah to family — never harsh, always gentle — but also in accepting that guidance is from Allah alone.

ابراہیم کے والد جو بت بناتے اور پوجتے تھے۔ ابراہیم نے نہایت نرمی سے ‘یا ابتِ’ کہہ کر بار بار بلایا۔ انہوں نے انکار کیا اور پتھر مارنے کی دھمکی دی۔ شرک پر مرے تو ابراہیم نے ان سے برائت کا اعلان کیا (9:114)۔
