Al-Wahhab — ٱلْوَهَّاب
The Bestower · The Giver of Gifts
بے حساب عطا کرنے والا
Root: و-ه-ب — To give freely without compensation
Category: Names of Generosity & Provision · In the Quran: 3 times
Meaning — English
Al-Wahhab gives freely, abundantly, and without any expectation of return. Unlike human giving which is often transactional, Al-Wahhab’s gifts require nothing — no payment, no gratitude, no worthiness. Ibrahim asked for righteous children (3:38), Sulayman asked for an unrivalled kingdom (38:35) — both invoking Al-Wahhab.
معنی — اردو
الوہاب بغیر کسی معاوضے کے دیتا ہے — کثرت سے، بار بار۔ ابراہیم اور سلیمان علیہم السلام نے اسی نام سے دعا مانگی۔
In Daily Life
When you feel you have nothing to offer Allah in exchange for what you need, Al-Wahhab gives without requiring exchange. Your emptiness is not a barrier to His generosity.
